Narrative:
American forces conducted airstrikes targeting Sirik, Hormozgan Province, Iran. United States Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that the strikes targeted drone storage locations and coastal radar sites. A projectile was reported to have landed in proximity to the port facilities, resulting in an explosion at approximately 20:15 UTC. Ambrey reviewed imagery of the aftermath of the strike which showed black smoke emitting from an impacted site. No damage to merchant vessels was reported in connection with the incident.
ADVICE: Merchant vessels calling at ports in Iran are advised to designate a Safe Muster Point (SMP), seek shelter when air raid sirens sound, and adhere to port authority instructions. The SMP should be located above the waterline, amidships, and low in the superstructure. Vessels should reduce crew deck movements to an operational minimum.
