Narrative:
A merchant vessel reported observing an explosion approximately 26NM northwest of Khalifa port, United Arab Emirates. The explosion occurred at approximately 04:20 UTC and was reported to have taken place 1NM from the vessel. Multiple crew members heard an explosion observed seawater splashing upwards following it. No aircraft were observed in the area at the time. The vessel’s AIS was switched off, and the crew were advised to keep it off. No damage to the vessel or injuries to the crew were reported.

ADVICE: Ambrey recommends vessels maintain a minimum distance of 5 nautical miles from oil production facilities. Designate a Safe Muster Point (SMP) above the waterline, amidships, and low in the superstructure. Seek shelter immediately when air raid sirens sound or aerial threat are identified. Follow all instructions issued by port authorities. Limit crew movements on deck to essential operational activities only.
