Narrative:

Ambrey received a report indicating that a Pirate Action Group (PAG) was sighted departing Durdura, Somalia. The armed PAG was reportedly aboard a fishing vessel that had previously been hijacked on 3 February off the coast of Hafun, Somalia. Ambrey understands that PAGs have previously utilised hijacked fishing vessels to attack merchant shipping further off Somalia. At the time of writing, there had been no reported impact to merchant shipping.

ADVICE: Ambrey advises merchant vessels to increase vigilance, ensure adherence to BMP, and to engage armed security where possible if the vessel has a permissible freeboard. Vessels should report sightings of any suspicious activity.
