Narrative:
Iranian forces reportedly launched a strike targeting the United States Fifth Fleet base in Manama, Bahrain. Video footage of the attack showed a projectile impacting what was reported to be the Fifth Fleet Base. Ambrey is aware that the United States conducted strikes on Iranian assets on 8 July with United State President Trump stating that he believed the memorandum and the ceasefire between the two states was over. At the time of writing, further assessments were underway to determine the damage to the naval base. No casualties or damage to merchant vessels had been reported in Bahrain. Following the strikes, the speaker for the Iranian Parliament stated that the Strait of Hormuz would only open with “Iranian Agreements”.
