Narrative:
Russian forces conducted an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) strike on the port of Pivdenne, Ukraine. The Russian Ministry of Defence stated that infrastructure facilities in the port were struck due to their alleged use for the delivery and storage of military cargo. Air raid sirens in Odesa Oblast first sounded at 21:40 UTC on 15 July and continued intermittently until 04:37 UTC on 16 July. At the time of writing, regional authorities had not disclosed the full extent of the damage to the port. Ambrey notes that regional authorities may limit damage reporting due to operational security considerations.

ADVICE: Vessels conducting Black Sea port calls are advised to conduct comprehensive dynamic voyage threat assessments. Crew are advised to remain within the designated Safe Muster Point (SMP) during UAV attacks on infrastructure. The SMP should be located above the waterline, amidships, and low down in the superstructure.
