Narrative:
UPDATE01: The Russian Ministry of Defense issued a statement regarding the strikes which stated that a container vessel, two ro-ro ferries, a collector vessel, and a floating dock were targeted. Port facilities for the processing of military cargo, fuel tanks, and warehouses were also reported to have been targeted.

Russian forces conducted a combined missile and unmanned aerial vehicle attack on the port of Chornomorsk, Ukraine. The Russian Ministry of Defence claimed to have targeted facilities for “unloading and storing military cargo and fuel.” At the time of writing, no casualties or damage to merchant vessels had been reported.

ADVICE: Vessels conducting Black Sea port calls are advised to conduct comprehensive dynamic voyage threat assessments. The crew is advised to remain within the designated Safe Muster Point (SMP) during UAV attacks on infrastructure. The SMP should be located above the waterline, amidships, and low-down in the superstructure.
