Details
Narrative:
Russian forces carried out an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack on the port of Yuzhny, Ukraine. The grain terminal was reportedly damaged, with damage to the “grain transportation equipment.” Oleh Kiper, the Governor of the Odesa Oblast, announced that there were no fatalities or injuries. At the time of writing, no damage to merchant vessels had been reported. No merchant vessels were observed in the area of interest at the time of the attack; however, Ambrey is aware that vessels have been withholding their AIS signals when calling at Ukrainian ports or transiting Ukrainian waters.
ADVICE: Vessels conducting Black Sea port calls are advised to conduct comprehensive dynamic voyage threat assessments. The crew is advised to remain within the designated Safe Muster Point (SMP) during UAV attacks on infrastructure.
