War risk/Physical damage
Details
Narrative:
Ambrey is aware of explosions in the port of Berdyansk Ukraine. According to Russia-affiliated media, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) were deployed in the area and were reportedly intercepted by Russian forces. Local sources reported explosions and fire within the port premises. At the time of writing, no damage to port infrastructure or merchant shipping had been reported. Based on AIS data, no merchant vessel was docked in the port at the time of the incident. However, Ambrey is aware that merchant vessels had been withholding their AIS signals when calling at Russian-occupied ports. ADVICE: Vessels conducting Sea of Azov port calls are advised to conduct comprehensive dynamic voyage threat assessments. The crew is advised to remain within the designated Safe Muster Point (SMP) during UAV attacks on infrastructure. The SMP should be located above the waterline, amidships, and low-down in the superstructure.
