Narrative:
Russian forces launched an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) attack on the port of Izmail, Ukraine. Air raid sirens were activated in the region starting at 23:24 UTC. According to Ukrainian sources, the port was targeted with multiple “Shahed-136” UAVs. Ambrey observed photographic evidence of a delta wing from one of the UAVs in the wreckage of a building in the area of interest. No damage to merchant vessels was reported; however, buildings in the vicinity of the port were reportedly damaged. At the time of the incident, Ambrey observed 39 merchant vessels at the port and operating in its vicinity.
ADVICE: Vessels conducting Black Sea port calls are advised to conduct comprehensive dynamic voyage threat assessments. The crew is advised to remain within the designated Safe Muster Point (SMP) during UAV attacks on infrastructure. The SMP should be located above the waterline, amidships, and low-down in the superstructure.
