Details
Narrative:
UPDATE01: According to the Russian-installed governor of Sevastopol, seven UAVs were intercepted over the sea and the city by Russian air defences and electronic warfare countermeasures. Although Russian authorities stated that the attack resulted in no damage, temporary power outages were reported in parts of Sevastopol. No casualties or damage to merchant vessels was reported. Ambrey will provide updates as relevant.

Ambrey received reports of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack by Ukrainian forces on the port city of Sevastopol in Russian-occupied Crimea. Multiple explosions were reportedly heard by local residents. According to the Russian-installed governor of Sevastopol, two UAVs were intercepted over the Komyshova Bay area. At the time of writing, no merchant vessels were observed in the port of Sevastopol. However, Ambrey is aware that vessels have been withholding their AIS signals when calling at Russian-occupied ports. Ambrey is investigating and will follow up with all relevant details.
ADVICE: Vessels conducting Black Sea port calls are advised to conduct comprehensive dynamic voyage threat assessments. The crew is advised to remain within the designated Safe Muster Point (SMP) during UAV attacks on infrastructure. The SMP should be located above the waterline, amidships, and low-down in the superstructure.
