War risk/Physical damage
Details
Narrative:
UPDATE 01: The Russia-installed governor of the occupied Zaporizhia region of Ukraine, reported that 10 UAVs had struck Berdyansk, with uncorroborated reports suggesting that three had struck the port area. The governor further reported that “the damage is minor and will not affect normal operations.” Ambrey observed still imagery of the aftermath, which showed damage to port buildings. Ambrey did not observe any vessels in the port of Berdyansk at the time of the attack. However, Ambrey is aware that vessels calling at the port regularly withhold their AIS. Ukrainian authorities have been seizing vessels belonging to companies that have called in Russian-occupied Ukrainian ports. At the time of writing, no damage to merchant vessels had been reported. Ukrainian authorities had not yet commented on Russia’s claim.

Ukrainian forces conducted an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack on the port of Berdyansk in Russian-occupied Ukraine. Smoke was reportedly observed originating from the port area. Ambrey is investigating and will follow up with all relevant details.
