1. LR Maritime Decarbonisation Hub joins the MMMCZCS as knowledge partner. The aim of the new partnership is to advance safety, drive innovation and enable the scalable adoption of sustainable marine fuels to accelerate shipping’s transition to zero emissions.

Lloyd’s Register Maritime Decarbonisation Hub  will be joining the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping as a Knowledge Partner of the Center.

2. Why Europe’s biggest port is preparing for war with Russia — and what it means for global trade. As tensions with Russia rise and NATO officials warn of potential conflict by 2030, Europe’s largest seaport — Rotterdam — is quietly preparing for war. 3. DP World develop Syria’s Tartus Port under Landmark 30- year deal. DP World has signed a 30-year concession agreement with Syria’s General Authority for Land and Sea Ports to develop and operate the Port of Tartus.

As part of the agreement, DP World will invest $800 million over the duration of the concession to upgrade the port’s infrastructure and position it as a critical regional trade hub connecting Southern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

6. Port of Los Angeles Sets June Cargo Record Amid Tariff Concerns. The Port of Los Angeles handled 892,340 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) in June, marking an 8% increase compared to the same period last year and setting a new record for the busiest June in the port’s 117-year history.

9. OEUK urges action to help UK reach Clean Power 2030 target. Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) has proposed a raft of reforms to accelerate offshore wind generation following publication of the government’s Review of Electricity Market Arrangements. OEUK says the decision to take a national approach to pricing will encourage more wind energy investment to help the government hit its Clean Power 2030 targets and boost growth in the critical offshore energy supply chain.
