1. AD Ports group delegation welcomed by Georgian First Vice Prime Minister in Tbilisi to present progress achieved in Tbilisi Dry Port Project. A senior delegation from AD Ports Group , a leading facilitator of global trade, logistics, and industry,headed by H.E Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State, were welcomed by the H.E Levan Davitashvili, First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia in Tbilisi, to present progress achieved in the development of Tbilisi Dry Port, a new custom-bonded and rail-connected intermodal logistics hub in Georgia.

2. Port of Long Beach sees strongest September on record. Demand for holiday-related goods nudged the Port of Long Beach to its most active September and busiest quarter on record as shippers continued to move goods ahead of a labor contract deadline for seaports on the East and Gulf coasts that resulted in a three-day strike at the start of October.

3. CorePower ramps up Japan operations as US500 million funding round nears completion. CORE POWER is building the world’s first Maritime Civil Nuclear Program in the OECD with a potential market of US$5.6 trillion by 2060. The company is also nearing completion of its Series B funding round of US$500 million to finish the technology designs and build the program.

5. UK leads Europe with clampdown of shadow fleet passing through the English Channel. 6. Maersk commences Ukraine weekly feeder service. Despite the recent decline in security across the Black Sea, Maersk, the world’s second-largest containerline, has initiated a new weekly feeder service between the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk and the Danish carrier’s hub port in Port Said in Egypt. The 1,702 teu A. Obelix is being deployed on the route, set to arrive in Chornomorsk next Tuesday.

7. Wilson Sons sale talks heat up. The sale of Brazilian port and maritime logistics operator Wilson Sons is pressing ahead.The company revealed receiving a letter from I Squared Capital expressing interest in a potential voluntary offer to acquire up to 100% of the company.
