1. Synergy and Grace Ocean agree to pay the US $102m in first of many Dali legal cases. The Justice Department announced yesterday that Grace Ocean and Synergy Marine, the Singaporean corporations that owned and operated the Dali containership, have agreed to pay $102m to resolve a civil claim brought by the US five weeks ago for costs borne in responding to the catastrophic collapse seven months ago of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore.  The Justice Department announced yesterday that Grace Ocean and Synergy Marine, the Singaporean corporations that owned and operated the Dali containership, have agreed to pay $102m to resolve a civil claim brought by the US five weeks ago for costs borne in responding to the catastrophic collapse seven months ago of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore.

2. Steamship Mutual: Financial update and 2025 Renewal. 
Buckley McAllister the Chairman of Steamship Mutual Underwriting Association (Steamship London) noted:
“It is a pleasure to announce that the exceptionally strong financial position of the Club has allowed the Directors to authorise a capital distribution of US$42 million. 3. Grain de Sail unveils the future of decarbonised maritime transport with the World’s Largest Wind-Powered Container Ship. Grain de Sail, a pioneer in decarbonized maritime logistics, has announced plans to construct its third cargo sailboat, the Grain de Sail III. This pure sailing vessel will be a 360-foot container ship, slated for launch in 2027, capable of transporting approximately 200 twenty-foot equivalent units with a maximum cargo capacity of 3,000 metric tons and crossing the Atlantic in just around 13 days.

In cooperation with the Integrated Transport Centre  of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, Abu Dhabi Maritime, part of AD Ports Group, has announced it has received 120 submissions from marinas across eight countries for the second edition of the Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards. The awards celebrate key achievements in the maritime sector, highlighting excellence in six categories: ‘Sustainability’, ‘Employer Excellence’, ‘Health and Safety’, ‘Customer Experience’, ‘Innovation’, and ‘Outstanding Marina’.
