1. Columbia Group appoints Simona Toma as Chief of Maritime HR following a strategic restructuring of the department after the departure of Captain Faouzi Fradi. Columbia Group has announced the appointment of former OSM Thome Managing Director Singapore, Simona Toma who will assume a C-level leadership role, overseeing both the crewing and training sides of operations within the Group.

4. Trafigura renews 5.6 billion revolving credit facilities. Trafigura Group , a market leader in the global commodities industry, announced the closing of its new 365-day European multi-currency syndicated revolving credit facilities totalling USD1.9 billion, as well as the extension and increase of its USD3.7 billion 3-year facility. The new 365-day ERCF, initially launched at USD1.5 billion, was substantially oversubscribed.

5. Diana Shipping fixes another kamsarmax to Cargill. New York-listed Greek bulker owner Diana Shipping has secured its second Cargill charter within a month. The commodities giant is chartering in the 2010-built kamsarmax Medusa for up to 16 months.

7. Ocean Installer joins team developing UK floating wind farm. Marine construction contractor Ocean Installer has joined the alliance of companies developing the Aspen floating offshore wind project in the North Sea.
Ocean Installer’s addition to the alliance will drive down the costs of installation and its existing fleet of vessels and workforce can be transferred to the floating offshore wind sector without significant adaptation.
