Narrative:
US forces conducted airstrikes targeting military infrastructure of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Sirik, Hormozgan Province, Iran. Explosions were reportedly audible in proximity to the port facilities. United States Central Command confirmed that the strikes targeted “military surveillance infrastructure, communication systems, air defense sites, drone storage facilities, and minelayer capabilities” No damage to merchant vessels was reported. US forces had previously targeted IRGC facilities in Sirik on 26 June.
ADVICE: Merchant vessels calling at ports in Iran are advised to designate a Safe Muster Point (SMP), seek shelter when air raid sirens sound, and adhere to port authority instructions. The SMP should be located above the waterline, amidships, and low in the superstructure. Vessels should reduce crew deck movements to an operational minimum.
