Priority Alert – Europe and the Mediterranean
War risk/Sighting
Details
Narrative:
Russian forces conducted an airstrike on the port of Kherson, Ukraine. Ambrey observed footage of multiple explosions in the area surrounding the Kherson shipyard. Russia-aligned sources reported that the strikes targeted an outpost for first-person view drone operators. The footage did not show any vessels moored in proximity of the explosions. Ambrey is aware that a number of vessels remain stranded at the port since its closure on 2 May 2022 following the renewed Russian invasion of Ukraine. Ambrey is aware that some stranded vessels in the Dnipro maintain skeleton crews.
ADVICE: The crew is advised to remain within the designated Safe Muster Point (SMP) during missile attacks on infrastructure. The SMP should be located above the waterline, amidships, and low-down in the superstructure.
