Details
Narrative:
Ukrainian forces conducted an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle attack on Novorossiysk, Russia. At the time of writing, no damage to merchant vessels or port infrastructure had been reported. However, analysis of NASA’s Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS) satellite data showed a fire in proximity to the port. Based on AIS data, 67 merchant vessels were present in the port at the approximate time of the attack. Ambrey will continue to monitor developments and provide updates as additional information is confirmed.
ADVICE: Vessels conducting Black Sea port calls are advised to conduct comprehensive dynamic voyage threat assessments. The crew is advised to remain within the designated Safe Muster Point (SMP) during UAV attacks on infrastructure.
