Priority Alert – Europe and the Mediterranean
War risk/Sighting
Details
Narrative:
Russian forces conducted an airstrike on the port of Kherson, Ukraine. Ambrey observed three missiles strike a building within the Kherson shipyard. Reportedly, multiple Ukrainian personnel were killed, and equipment was destroyed. The footage did not show any vessels moored in the vicinity of the explosions. Ambrey is aware that a number of vessels have remained stranded at the port since its closure on 2 May 2022, following Russia’s renewed invasion of Ukraine. Ambrey is also aware that some stranded vessels along the Dnipro River have retained skeleton crews.
ADVICE: The crew is advised to remain within the designated Safe Muster Point (SMP) during missile attacks on infrastructure. The SMP should be located above the waterline, amidships, and low-down in the superstructure.
