Narrative:
UPDATE01: The Israeli Air Force conducted an aerial strike on the Port of Hodeidah, Yemen. Local sources reported multiple explosions in the area, with video footage showing several blasts and large flames. Israeli Defence Forces’ officials stated that the port was targeted with 50 munitions due to its critical role as a “supply source for the Houthi terrorist regime.” Ambrey is also aware of additional Israeli airstrikes in the city of Bajil, Yemen. Up to twenty fighter jets were reportedly involved in the operation. Ambrey will provide updates when available.

Ansar Allah (“the Houthis”) claimed that an Israeli military operation targeted the port city of Hodeidah, Yemen. At the time of writing, no casualties or damage to port infrastructure or merchant vessels had been reported. According to local sources, up to 8 airstrikes were reported in the area. Ambrey observed 4 merchant vessels in the port of Hodeidah at the time of the event. Ambrey is investigating and will follow up with all relevant details. ADVICE: Merchant shipping is advised to designate a Safe Muster Point (SMP) above the waterline and central within the accommodation block and to retreat to the SMP when sirens are sounded. Vessels are advised to reduce crew deck movements and bridge manning to a minimum while operating in the vicinity.
