Narrative:
Russian forces launched a missile attack on the port of Izmail, Ukraine. Reportedly, a single P-800 Onyx anti-ship cruise missile struck the port area. Unconfirmed reports suggested that grain storage facilities and associated infrastructure had been damaged. At the time of writing, no damage to merchant vessels had been reported. At the time of the incident, AIS data indicated the presence of eleven merchant vessels alongside or anchored in proximity to the port. Ambrey is investigating and will provide updates when available.
ADVICE: Vessels conducting Black Sea port calls are advised to conduct comprehensive dynamic voyage threat assessments. The crew is advised to remain within the designated Safe Muster Point (SMP) during missile attacks. The SMP should be located above the waterline, amidships, and low down in the superstructure.
