Priority Alert – Europe and the Mediterranean
War risk/Sighting
Details
Narrative:
Russian forces conducted an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack on the port of Odesa, Ukraine. Reports indicated that port infrastructure had been targeted, with at least three UAV strikes within the port limits. Unconfirmed reports suggested that the grain terminal had been hit. No damage to merchant vessels or casualties had been reported. No merchant vessels were observed in the area of interest at the time of the attack; however, Ambrey is aware that vessels have been withholding their AIS signals when calling at Ukrainian ports or transiting Ukrainian waters. Ambrey assessed the incident as ongoing and will provide updates when available.
ADVICE: Vessels conducting Black Sea port calls are advised to conduct comprehensive dynamic voyage threat assessments. The crew is advised to remain within the designated Safe Muster Point (SMP) during UAV attacks on infrastructure. The SMP should be located above the waterline, amidships, and low-down in the superstructure.
