Narrative:
A Philippine-flagged Ro-Ro vessel capsized off the coast of Zamboanga, Philippines. The vessel was en route from Zamboanga to Jolo, Philippines, when it encountered “technical problems” and sank. There were 332 passengers and 27 crew members on board. The vessel was not broadcasting an AIS signal at the time of the incident. At the time of writing, 215 people had been rescued, and at least 15 fatalities had been confirmed. Ambrey assessed the situation as ongoing and will provide updates when available.
