Narrative:
UPDATE02: The vessel had reportedly been recovered by Russian authorities and was towed to Kuchugury. Upon boarding, the bodies of the two missing crew members were recovered.
UPDATE01: Russian authorities subsequently announced that the vessel foundered after it was attacked and damaged by a Ukrainian Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). At the time of writing, two crewmembers remained missing. Ambrey has upgraded the incident to War risk – Physical damage.
ADVICE: Vessels conducting Black Sea or Sea of Azov port calls are advised to conduct comprehensive dynamic voyage threat assessments. The crew is advised to remain within the designated Safe Muster Point (SMP) during UAV / missile attacks on infrastructure. The SMP should be located above the waterline, amidships, and low down in the superstructure.

A general cargo vessel was reported to have foundered in the Kherson region of the Sea of Azov, Russian-occupied Ukraine. The vessel was reportedly transporting grain out of occupied Ukraine at the time of the incident. Nine individuals, all of whom were Russian citizens, abandoned ship; one fatality was reported by official sources, and at the time of writing, a further two remained missing. Search and Rescue operations were ongoing to locate the missing crew members. Further investigations were underway to determine the cause of the incident.
